CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW

Communication is the most essential element to conducting a successful project. The administrative activities of Musick Construction Company are intended to facilitate all channels of communication, resolve disputes in accordance with the Owner’s best interest, and to ensure that properly prepared documentation is kept for all potential legal and future reference needs.

Musick Construction Company uses Procore Management software for document control and to help control cost, schedule, and daily site issues.

GENERAL CONTRACTING

As general contractor, we provide a single point of contact for the Owner during construction. We monitor and facilitate the project budget, schedule, jobsite safety and overall quality of the work with on-site supervision. Continual observation and coordination by the project supervisor will reduce costs. Claims are minimized and the work of trades is closely coordinated; schedules are maintained through weekly status meetings.

As a trusted member of the team, our involvement in the project allows our client to focus on their primary responsibilities while we complete construction of the facility. Cost control during construction begins with the budget and schedule prepared during the preconstruction phase. Cost control is as much a matter of determining when to spend additional dollars for specific gain, as it is in ensuring that each element is acquired at the most favorable price.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

We offer construction management services when a client needs an advocate to act on their behalf. As construction manager, we protect the client’s interests during the building process. We use our experience to achieve the most effective cost but also maintain the project schedule and the quality of the workmanship. Musick Construction does not claim to eliminate change orders, but we will be your first line of defense in reducing them. Musick Construction will evaluate the performance of each trade contractor in order to determine that the work of each trade contractor is being performed in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents.

DESIGN BUILD

The design-build approach changes the traditional relationship between the Architect, client and general contractor. Design-build combines the expertise of the design and construction professionals throughout the course of the project. Our affiliation and track record with design professionals across the United States allows us to offer a design-build relationship that benefits both the project schedule and budget.
